Can someone explain more about how personal injury recovery may be subject to medical liens? An article I was reading, http://raleigh.injuryboard.com , says “North Carolina law provides that doctors, hospitals and other health care providers may obtain a lien against the proceeds from the injured party’s recovery from a personal injury action.” Granted this is North Carolina law but does this law also apply to most other states.
Is it best to speak with a personal attorney before I do anything? I want to make sure I don’t rack up a large amount of medical bills that come out to haunt me. On that same note does anyone know a good personal injury lawyer for San Jose Ca?
